Elephants are herbivores. They eat 80-90% of their time eating. They eat 300 pound of food and digest only 40% of it! Elephants don't eat much, they spend most of their time looking for leaves, branches, seeds, and fruit to eat. African elephants travel regularly. Just to find food! We only travel like once a year! One herd of elephants in the country of Mali travel more than 7500 square miles each year! That's a lot of miles!
